This has got to be my favorite time of year! The earthy food and cool temps, are the best.
Recently, we catered an outdoor, fall wedding with collards and back-eye peas. I have to say, it was one of my fave's. A vegetarian isn't easy to cook for in these parts, but we sufficed.
We served them Southern Egg rolls, Fried Gulf Oysters, and yummy Crab Cakes, especially for the groom. It was one of my most favorite menus, but what was the best to me? Well, the ginger spiced, peach iced tea had to be it. It was a concoction that I came up with on the fly, but turned into a huge bonus.
I few guests added Makers Mark, and were sold. A mason jar, crushed ice, homemade swizzle stick w/grosgrain ribbon and a slice of fresh peach. Who could ask for more?
It's those personnel touches that make the difference!
